I help hobby and beginner quilters turn their quilt tops into finished quilts they can finally enjoy. You don't need perfect points or perfectly squared edges — I treat every quilt with care and respect for the work you've already done. I offer hand-guided pantograph quilting, free-motion quilting, ruler work, and optional squaring and binding. "I know Katy will make my quilt top look great."

About Katybird Quilts
I create memory quilts that are meant to be held, loved, and lived with.
My work began with the heirloom quilts passed down from my great grandmother. Those quilts carried stories, comfort, and family history — and they inspired me to help others preserve their own meaningful pieces.
As a grief support group leader at my church, I saw how many people were holding onto clothing and memories without a way to honor them. That is what led me to start Katybird Quilts.
Today, I turn meaningful clothing and fabric into memory quilts that bring comfort and connection. I also help quilters finish and create their own quilts through longarm services and beginner-friendly patterns.
While creating memory quilts, I learned how to sew with all kinds of fabrics and materials beyond traditional quilting cottons. That experience inspired me to begin designing my own quilt patterns and explore new ways to bring texture and creativity into quilting. I love encouraging other quilters to experiment, trust their creativity, and discover what is possible beyond the “rules.”
My focus is meaning, comfort, and creating something you can hold onto for years to come.
